The central location of the hotel to visit Toledo's touristic sites, on foot, as well as the closeness of the local buses/taxis. The polite and helpful staff on Reception and the nearby secure car parking facility. It was spotlessly clean throughout. The size of the bedroom was large, with 2x very comfoftable mattresses, pillows and quality linen. There was also an added bonus of a Coffee/ Tea tray. The room is decorated in a traditional manner, and is ready for a mini update, however, there was a sign in the lift, informing guests, that the Hotel is in the process of refurbishing the rooms/bathrooms. The buffet breakfast was exceptional and offered fresh natural orange juice, cava , various milks, breads, pastries, cold meats, cheeses, boiled eggs and smoked salmon. (Catering for allergies/gluten free, etc). There was also a choice of a Hot food buffet, consisting of eggs, bacon, grilled tomatoes, beans mushrooms, spanish omelette. It was beautifully presented and compliments to all the Hotel staff/ Management for a superb selection of foods, etc. It exceeded our expectations as it was excellent value for money. It had been our third hotel stay within six days - and out shone the other two hotels by far. We have already recommended it, to friends/family and will definitely reserve a future stay there.

This turned out to be an excellent choice in terms of location, value for money and service. Opposite the Alcazar at the top of Toledo's Old Town hill, it was about 10 minutes from the station where we arrived from Madrid. Excellent value by the way. Train was 13 Euros per person for 30 minute journey and it's advisable to book in advance (our friends didn't and had to take a taxi from Madrid). The staff were uniformly friendly, helpful and efficient and our 3 nights there were a joy. On Day 1 after a short walk to orient ourselves we found by accident the restaurant next door which is , in fact, part of the hotel. We had menu del dia there which was great value and good food. Breakfast daily was included in the large downstairs breakfast room with lots of choice. We enjoyed the maze of small streets in every direction and eventually found a quick route to the Cathedral (turn immediately left and left out of the hotel and down a long flight of stairs). Zocodover Square is a short walk straight down the hill from the hotel. Our room (517) was spacious and had a fine balcony which caught the afternoon sun daily. Our thanks to the hotel staff for all their help and booking the taxi to Madrid Airport for our 6.30 am departure.

The hotel location couldn’t have been better, and while it’s a more modern building, having a small balcony on a traditional narrow lane, with views of cathedral or church buildings at both ends was very nice. The breakfast was very good, with fresh-OJ machine and healthy options, set in a medieval style grand room. This nice breakfast greatly increased the value of the rate we paid, since it allowed us to eat well before being on excursions. The decor in the dining area and also in the large central second floor with knights and armor etc. is fun and fits Toledo well, though it’s a themed medieval recreation rather than actual antique. The rooms large had very nice bathroom and excellent temperature control. While we were just traveling as a small family, these larger facilities likely make the hotel a great choice for special events or business meetings as well. Staff everywhere were excellent. Don’t poke at windmills -this is an excellent choice for a short stay in Granada, with great facilities, comfort, room-choice, and value.

We only stayed at Hotel Sercotel Alfonso for one night as a stop over, but wish we had stayed longer. The hotel was in a great location in the centre of Toledo and we were about to check in at 1am at the front desk when our flight landed (24 hour service was appreciated). The room itself was lovely, it was clean and had a great view from the balcony. The added treats in the bathroom were a lovely touch including: toothbrush set, comb, hair net etc. Our room was a good size and very modern/traditional with comfortable beds; there was a mini bar option and lots of space for luggage. In the morning, we were able to leave our bags at reception until late afternoon whilst we waited for our next transfer which was very helpful thank you. I would recommend staying at this hotel and would come back again.

We stayed here on our first night in Spain. Toledo was kind of a last minute add-on for us, but we figured it would be worth spending a little more on a nice room after an overnight flight. Hotel Sercotel Alfonso VI did not disappoint. The room was beautiful and so charming! We even had a beautiful view of the cathedral. We woke up well-rested, and on the way to breakfast found the dungeon banquet room. Make sure you look for it when you stay! The breakfast buffet was huge and had such a variety. Also be sure to try the fresh squeezed orange juice. My husband had 4 glasses to refuel his Vitamin C levels after the long flight. Upon checkout, we asked if they’d be able to watch our bags as we explored the city and they happily agreed. What a terrific experience for a spur of the moment choice!
